GEOHIDROTERV Ltd. has been in operation since 1990 employing over 60 employees, supplied with modern tools, on-site sampling analytical and geodesic equipment, earth boring and various decontaminating equipment and technologies. The successful responses to the professional and economic challenges of past years has led to the creation of a strong professional expert staff with considerable experience able to deliver environmental protection, damage control and waste management solutions. The annual turnover of our Company, as the result of its dynamic development, exceeded the magnitude of EUR 400 000 in 1992, while in 1998 it reached EUR 3,6 million, and EUR 16 million in 2005.

In 2006, the change in management and ownership resulted in significant transformations in the life of the Company. This change did not only strengthen our financial background and produced a new corporate culture but also brought about the emergence of new businesses and the break into markets across Hungarian borders, as well.

GEOHIDROTERV Kft employs over 40 university and college graduates (civil engineers, mining engineers, geologists, hydrogeologists, environmental engineers, chemical and mechanical engineers) and several professionally educated technicians who have gradually specialized in the solution of complex environmental protection, geological and water management as well as water construction tasks.

In the past years, we have conducted environmental condition surveys and assessments of various chemical and other industrial plants, as well as of landfills and treatment plants all over the country, which involved soil and groundwater contamination level measurements and risk analyses. Besides, geo-engineering designs and plans have also been provided to reduce the contamination level.

We have gained outstanding success in the environmental management sector by carrying out environmental damage assessments for former Soviet military bases (32 sites). Our experts have developed various environmental remediation plans for the main Hungarian military airports and have also provided consultancy services in damage control tasks. The most noteworthy ones are: Mezőkövesd, Kalocsa, Kiskunlacháza and Tököl. Environmental remediation work, for the Hungarian Defence Forces, of the airports of Kecskemét, Pápa and Taszár was of outstanding importance.

In the so-far largest environmental contamination project of Hungary in the landfill of Budapest Chemical Works in Garé we were responsible for the preparation and packaging of accumulated waste for disposal, as well as for the treatment and clean-up of the polluted soil.
